Christmas is coming

This year we decided to put up the Christmas decorations the day before Thanksgiving, since we had the celebration at our house. OK, so I wish that was the reason we put them up the day before instead of the day after. I actually told Ryan about the decorations on Monday and by Wednesday I couldn't resist. He was so excited and asked about them every five minutes. Since then our tree has been redecorated who know how many times. Thank goodness for plastic decorations. He gets so excited about the Holidays. Even Caden has enjoyed the stockings, lights, tree and Christmas music. I love to watch Caden do a jig to the music. There has been such a sweet spirit in our home since we put the Christmas decorations up. I sure love this time of year.

Thanksgiving

Sister Bradley and Sister Halgren are the Kirksville 2nd Ward Sister Missionaries. We love those guys.
This is Brian, Sarah, Smith and Taft McClure. They are some of the most amazing people we've met. Brian and Trevor are so alike I wonder if they were taught in the same classes in Heaven. Sarah and I are sure lucky to have such wonderful men.

This year we had the opportunity to share Thanksgiving with some dear friends. We had a wonderful meal and the company was even better. It has been so nice to be in Kirksville where we have so many great people who are going through the same thing that are willing to reach out and support one other. If we have to be away from family during this time in our journey I can't think of any other place that I'd rather be than here. We've made so many amazing friends. Thanks everyone.

Pregnancy Poll

Hey Everyone,
I've been thinking the past few days on how I could better share my pregnancy experience with my family and friends and decided it might be fun to post pictures of my progress. I may not think this is so fun when my rational thinking skills return but that will probably be long after the pregnancy is over. I hope that I'm not the only pregnant woman who comes up with totally insane and crazy ideas such as these while being pregnant. Anyway, if you think this would be a good idea, post pics of progress, then please post your comments and we'll go from there. Thanks!!!

Birthday Boy

We celebrated Caden's first birthday on Nov. 3. He is getting so big. He also had the opportunity to celebrate with both sets of Grandparents while in Utah. Those boy sure are loved. He wasn't sure about the cake at first but when he got a taste he couldn't leave it alone. He is such a happy boy. We are so blessed to have these two amazing little boys.
Happy Birthday Caden.

Birthday Blast

Ryan turned 4 on the 27th of October. Because we were in Utah the week before both sets of Grandparents threw him a party. Then we had a few of his friends over on his birthday. He had so much fun. I can't believe he's already four. The time truly does fly by. The best parts of his birthday were: Grandma and Grandpa Bright showing up in Kirksville as a surprise and when his Dad showed up to his party dressed as a pirate. Ryan had been asking for weeks if Trevor and I would dress up like pirates for his birthday. I wasn't sure if this was going to be a possiblity but when we went to Utah I found out that my sister had a pirate costume and her husband had a pirate costume from the year prior that we could borrow. Thanks Angie and Erich. You helped make a little boys dreams come true. I'll never forget the look on Ryan's face when his Dad walked out and said ARR. It was a great birthday. Happy Birthday Ryan. We love you!!!
