Splash pad with the kids

On Monday the kids and I were looking for something to do to beat the heat and so we decided to head down to the collinsville splash pad.  We had a great time!

Random fun from Utah

This trip to Utah was fast and fun.  We want to thank both of our families for the time and effort they put into spending time with us.  We loved being with you and we can't wait to see you again.  We love you.  You're the best.

Grandma Green

One of the main reasons we went to Utah this summer was so that Trevor could be with his Grandma as she underwent hip replacement surgery.  She has been a real trooper throughout the whole thing and we are so glad we were able to spend some time with her this summer.  We look forward to what the future holds for her and her new hip.  We love you Grandma!!

Day 8-Bountiful 24th of July Parade.

Pizza and a parade, what could be better?!  Well, maybe the weather could have been better but other than that we loved going to the bountiful 24th of July Parade and were so thrilled to be able to spend our last night with our family members. Thanks for weathering the heat for one last good memory.   We enjoyed watching the parade and having a few laughs.  Chloe didn't enjoy the hot rod with its engine a roaring and its flames a throwing or the sound of the sirens but everything else seemed to be something new and exciting to look at.  The boys loved catching the candy and trying to eat it. They felt like winners when they found one they could get out of the wrapper and into their mouth.

Day 7-Children's Musuem and Luau

We took the kids to the Children's Musuem at the gateway.  I think they should sell a shirt there for adults that says, " I survived the Children's Musuem",  It is a childs dream come true.  They have a little town that the children can experience everything from being the postman to being a firefighter.  They have a construction zone, a house, a water exhibit, a farm area and a grocery store.  That is just on the first level and there are two more level.  The next level is full of all sorts of experiences for the children.  Our kids loved exploring the life flight helicopter.  What a great place for the children to learn and explore.

That night we had the kids dressed up in their outfits from Great Grandma Dilks for a Luau. It wasn't a traditional Luau (Turkey, Stuffing and Gravy) but boy was it delicious and the company was even better.  We ended the night with a swim in Grandma and Grandpa's pool.
