It's a......

Hey Everyone,
We're having a Boy! We can't wait. We're so excited about having another one. Two more and we'll have our own basketball team. We're still trying to decide on a name but that will come. He looks great so far. I can't believe how long his little fingers looked on the ultrasound. It was amazing to see so many of his little features. What a miracle.

Pregnancy Update

Hey Everyone,
I'm sure you are wondering what happened to the updates and pictures of the progress in my pregnancy. Well as luck would have it, every since I posted that entry we've had major problems with our digital camera. So many problems that I almost threw it away while on Christmas break. Then I came to the realization that we're still in Med school and it really isn't in the budget to get a new one. I've come to the conclusion that I'm going to have to read the owner's manual from top to bottom. One good thing came from all of this. I learned that it records small segments and got some great feed of Trevor singing Karaoke. I hope to post it soon. As for pregnancy pictures we haven't been able to get any. Trevor has tried several times to get a side shot and it never works so we'll keep trying. We have an ultra sound setup for next Thursday and hope to find out what the gender of the baby is. We'll keep you posted.

New Years Eve

We had a blast with my family on New Year's Eve. We brought in the new year with a chocolate fountain, games, karaoke, food and fun. Angie and Erich let us enjoy the night at their new home in Clearfield which gave us enough room for the kids to run wild. I can't remember the last time I stayed up that late and was glad to see it fly by. I didn't want the fun to end but I was worried I wouldn't be able to make it to midnight. You know your getting old when you wish you could go to bed at 9:00 PM. Angie and Erich, thanks for an awesome New Year's Eve party!

Big Boys Love Big Toys

One of the biggest highlights of our trip to Utah was Ryan taking a ride with his Grandad in a car loader. I thought the anticipation leading up to the moment was going to make Ryan burst from the seams. He loved every minute of it. He couldn't stop talking about it when it was over. I think his Grandad enjoyed it just as much as he did. Caden felt a little left out while watching Ryan ride around and around. He kept trying to propel himself from my arms so when they finally parked it, we let him get inside. I think every boy loves big boy toys. Thanks Dad!!!

Christmas

This December was wonderful and the break for Christmas was the highlight. We celebrated Christmas with our immediate family on Saturday the 22nd of December before heading to St. Louis to catch a flight to Utah. The kids couldn't wait to see the Grandparents and other family members. It was great to get to SLC and be greeted by both sides of the family. Then all the fun began. We went from one party, to the next, to the next. It was great. Ryan loved being able to run around all day and stay up late every night. He enjoyed spending time with his Aunt Brianna and his Grandparents. He loved being showered with gifts. On the evening of Christmas, while watching the forgotten Carols with the Bright family Caden realized that he could stand up on his own. He spent the next hour standing up, walking across the room and then falling on the floor only to get back up again to start all over. His face lit up like a Christmas tree as he discovered his new talent. He would get so excited that his mind would go faster than his little feet and he'd end up on his bottom. He enjoyed all of the hugs and kisses he received and all of the cats he was able to play with. It was a wonderful break for Trevor and I. Thanks to all of our family for making it so memorable. We love you guys and can't say enough about everything you do for us. The time seems to go so fast when we're with our loved ones. We wanted to visit so many of our friends also but ran out of time. We're overwhelmed by how many people help to make this journey a joyous one. We couldn't do it without you.

Snow Day

On December 7th 2007 we received enough snow to put on our winter clothes and play. The kids and I had so much fun throwing it, making foot prints and sledding. We have a little hill on the side of our house which was the perfect place to sled. I loved hearing the kids laugh as they'd slide down the side trying not to fall off before making it to the bottom of the small hill. This was Caden's first time out in the snow and he loved it. It was even better because he got to share it with his older brother, who knows all the best ways to play. We continue to hope for more so we can build a snowman and try out the sled again.
