Day four of our trip to Utah-Antelope Island

I had never been to Antelope Island before so we decided that it would be a fun thing to explore on Monday.
Caden was in Heaven!  He thought it was the perfect place for a cowboy to be.   As we were coming to the end of our journey around the farm I noticed that Caden was having a hard time keepin his pants from falling off only to discover that he had been collecting rocks all along the way and now was being overtaken by them.   I love that kid.

Day Three of our trip to Utah

On Sunday we went to church with Trevor's family.  It was lovely.  Their ward is always so welcoming and friendly.  Then we went down to my families for dinner.  This is a picture of Grandma Dilks, Chloe (11-22-10) and Vahn (11-24-10)  Can you believe the difference between these two.  He is all boy and she is all girl.  Chloe wasn't sure what to think at first but soon warmed up to her cousin.  The kids loved playing in the creek in front of my Mom and Dads house. They even caught snails. That was fun for me because that is what my sister and I did at our Grandma's house when were little.

Day Two of our Trip to Utah

The night we flew into Utah I had my Dad and my brother help me ask Trevor on a date.  It was something that I had been planning for a few weeks with the help of his family.  So on Friday night while he was in trying to take care of the kids my brother and I wrote, "Will you go on a date with...." on the driver's side window and "Me" on the front window in front of the passengers seat.   It was so fun when he came out and found the message.  He was totally surprised, which doesn't happen very often.  I wish I would have taken a picture of the car.  On saturday night he and I went to The Roof Resturaunt in SLC and had a lovely time while the kids got to spend some time with Grandma and Grandpa.  They went to see the new Winnie the Pooh movie and the boys even got to sleep over and Grandma and Grandpa's house.  It was wonderfu.  Thanks Mom and Dad for making this special day happen.

Trip to Utah-The Flight

In the middle of July we had the opportunity to fly to Utah to see family.  These are pics of the kids on the plane.  They did so good.  Dad did a great job too.  He took care of the three boys while I took care of a sleeping baby.  Being a Mom is so tough sometimes.  It was great. Thank for your help handsome!!!
We were so excited to see family that it made the plane ride go by really fast.

July 4th 2011

For the 4th of July this year, we had our friends the Moss family over to go swimming at the community pool,  then had a BBQ  and ended the day by going to their house to watch fireworks and eat homemade ice cream.  It was a great day.   We really enjoyed sitting in the backyard of their home watching all of the neighbors fireworks.  It was the best fireworks show we've ever seen and it was free.  We even saw several lanterns like the ones in Tangled.  They are amazing to see floating in the sky.
We are so grateful we could celebrate this day and for what it represents.  We hope that we can teach our children what it means to have this great country as our home and that we do everything we can to uphold our freedom, our religion and our family.   In God we Trust.   May he continue to bless this country.

First Bike Ride

On July 1st I took Chloe for her first bike ride.  She loved it and was a real trooper. So were the boys.  We rode all over the park near our house and then stopped to play before heading home again.  It was just a little to long for her liking but has enjoyed the shorter rides we've gone on since.  We look forward to the weather cooling off so we can get back out and ride some more.  She really enjoys having Matthew as her riding buddy. 

Ryan and Baseball

This year Ryan wanted to try out baseball. He loved it.  His team was the Cubs.  He had a great time learning about how to play baseball and what it meant to be a part of a team.  He loved playing the different positions and even caught a fly ball.  He also hit a double and made it home a few times.  We look forward to playing again next spring.  He loved his team and the assistant coach.   GO CUBS!!
